General Pricing and Changes
Please note that pricing on our website does not include sales tax (if applicable) or delivery costs (which can be quoted). Custom projects are priced based on the information described within the written price quote provided for each custom project. If the design evolves in scope, details, or work required beyond the original quote we would need to re-quote these changes at that point. If you want to make any changes to specifications, materials or details, these would be subject to any appropriate up-charges depending on the materials and labor involved. Custom projects have a design fee based on an hourly rate of $75/hour. If a project is cancelled after the design phase and prior to production, the client will be billed for that fee.

Payment Requirements
We require a 10% deposit at time of purchase or upon approval of custom designs. This holds a place in our production schedule. Production time from ordering might vary depending on the complexity of the custom project and would be specified within the price quote. At commencement of production a deposit of 50% of the balance including sales tax (if applicable) is due. The final balance of the order and associated shipping costs are due upon completion of the order and must be received by us before the order is shipped. You will be contacted shortly before completion to arrange final payment and shipping arrangements. See our section below for cancelling or changing your order.Larger custom projects may have slightly different payment terms and those would be specified within the price quote for each project. Payments can be made by personal or cashiers check.The receipt of your deposit or payment for any product or project will indicate that you have read and understand our General Terms & Conditions and agree with them. Shipping Charges
Shipping, packaging and insurance charges are determined by the size, weight and value of your purchase. Options include blanket wrapped delivery, custom boxing or crating and shipped by a reputable carrier. UPS Ground may be used for smaller items. The shipping cost will be quoted for each design before ordering, upon request. Please discuss with us any special delivery circumstances (such as limited access to the delivery location, stairs, elevators, required time windows, etc.). Shipping charges will be added to the balance payment for the order and are due in full before shipment date. Shipping charges are non-refundable. We also offer a premium "white glove" service which consists of blanket-wrapped delivery and set-up in your space. This is especially helpful where delivery scheduling is critical, and with large pieces or ones that need assembly.

Cancelling or Changing Your Order
For custom design projects, if a project is cancelled after the design phase and prior to production, the client will be billed for the design fee based on an hourly rate of $75/hour. Due to our scheduling restraints, the intial order deposit of 10% is non-refundable. Because project design engineering or actual production begins shortly after your order is placed, please be sure of your choices before placing your order. 50% of the balance is due at commencement of production. This has a 7-day cancellation/refund period. If we are given notice of a cancellation within 7 days of the production commencement date, a refund will be issued in the same tender as your deposit payment. However, if your order has been started or if materials have been purchased specifically for the project, those expenses will be deducted from the deposit payment. All applicable sales tax will be included in each payment.

Product Liability
Kumo Design assumes no responsibility once the products have left our studio. Shipping must be fully insured. Kumo Design cannot be held responsible for potential problems with products that may occur in the client's home or place of business; such as, but not limited to, wear and tear, expansion and contraction of woods and joinery due to climatic changes, limitation of finish materials in any given situation, choice of materials or design chosen by designer or client, buyer's remorse or any other liability whatsoever resulting from use of the products. As all products are custom made to order, handcrafted and one of a kind, no guarantee is expressed or implied.
